I am catching up with posting online my articles.
Today one of my friends told me that about 6 months ago he started to take some medicine which was supposed to help him with his health problem. It was prescribed by the doctor and so he took it with full confidence that this is going to help. He was told that he must take it for the rest of his life but still he was trusting the doctor unconditionally.
Anyway couple of months later he started to have other symptoms and he needed to seek help of the doctor again.
About 6 weeks ago he got extreme pains in the calf muscles and 5 weeks later he was rushed to hospital at night and he stayed there for 1 week as his condition was serious. But the main problem was not so much in the legs but in his lungs as he was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism.
Pulmonary embolism occurs when a clump of material, most often a blood clot, gets wedged into an artery in your lungs. These blood clots most commonly originate in the deep veins of your legs, but they can also come from other parts of your body.
This is a serious condition and he was told that he was close to say hello to death. OK... so this explains why he had pain in the calves but still we need to find out why he the blood clots in his legs in the first place ( I will explain it later ).
Some 2 weeks after he left hospital he needed another major medical intervention as he had inflammation of the appendix.
